Hi All. We all know that our Australian canned fruit industry doe not compete on a level playing field in domestic or Export markets. Just another example of this are the tariffs applied by China & the EU on imports of canned Peaches are on average 20% while tariffs on imports applied by Australia are 5% or ZERO depending on the source of the Imports,I just hope the Government understands the enormity of the dire situation that is unfolding in front of our eyes. My best guess is SPC 2013/14 will be its toughest... |
