There is a chemical leak being attended to by CFA. This message applies to the area(s) of Portland. The transfer ship has arrived in Portland and transfer of material has commenced. Residents may smell a tar like aroma which are not at harmful levels. Port operations will be restricted during this time. Monitoring for any toxic vapour continues to take place. This grassfire is contained. This message applies to the town(s) of Mortlake. Smoke may still be visible from nearby communities and roads, including the Hamilton Highway north west of Mortlake. An area of approximately 450 hectares has been burnt. What to do: Monitor conditions. Check your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Lake Eildon has fallen this week to a level of 92.01%, a decrease of 0.73%.
