Eildon pondage has been a little hit and miss this week, but there has still been the odd 9lber caught. Riverside drive has been the side of the pondage to target with water levels dropping of a morning The local dough, power bait, mud eyes and the occasional worm have all worked this week, with small rainbow trout showing a preference for the power bait. Kroc lures at the back of the Eildon caravan park and cemetery point are working on 4 to 6lb Brown trout, and the pink Tassie devil near the floating pontoon has also been a winner.

Recent weather has made conditions things a little difficult on the lake this week for anglers, but the odd nice Murray cod and yellow belly have been taken. On the dam wall Dave from the blue gums caravan park reported that he managed a few smaller Murray cod from the dam wall on spinner baits and small hard bodies right on dusk. Red fin are still taking yabbies and scrubbies amongst the trees near Italian bay.

Big river has had small rainbow trout caught on scrubbies, but scrubbies are also working in most of the rivers in the local area, bead head nymphs, and hopper patterns in the flies are still the way to go in the Goulburn and Rubicon rivers, and small bladed vibrax lures are picking up brown trout up to 35 cm near Blue gums caravan park.
