Victorian Fisheries Authority will host a one day recreational fishing festival in the township of Eildon on Saturday, 1 September 2018. The festival is an annual event celebrating the start of the trout fishing season and promoting Eildon as a fishing destination.
The festival will take place at the local community centre, Fishing industry traders, exhibitors and local angling clubs will set up stalls and exhibits for attendees. Prominent recreational fishing personalities will hold open forums to discuss different methods, tactics and styles and instruct attendees how to catch more fish. Families and young fishers will be given the opportunity to participate in supervised free fishing events, free tours of the nearby Snobs creek fish hatchery and enjoy free entertainment at a central staging point.
