Reports coming in from the lake have been a little quiet lately, however over the weekend one angler did manage to land a monster Murray cod going 124cm caught on a large Jackall swimbait, much to the joy of the angler a few happy snaps were taken and the big fella was released successfully.

Brown trout are still being taken on the troll, towards the Delatite rainbow trout stump jumpers and Tassie devils are the go to lures, while in the main arm and the mouth of big river it’s still the white, phosphorus pearl and pink Tassie doing the damage.

Out in the pondage a few lake brown trout around the 1.5lb have been picked up on brown spoon lures near the pondage gates, nursery corner saw a couple of nice 3kg plus brown trout caught on local dough, while the upper of the lower pondage still had a few small rainbow trout taking the chunky cheese power bait.

That’s all I’ve got this week
