With the weather last weekend being magnificent there were alot of people fishing the lake and pondage but the fish were not playing the game .Just a few browns were caught flat line trolling hard bodies and tassie devils, with one exception of a beauty at 61cm and around the 5lb caught on a swm bait that was meant for a cod. The start of the week has seen 166 brown and rainbow trout around the 2-4kg released into the pondage , some lucky anglers have seized the opportunity with some nice fish being caught on fluoro green and pink tassie’s , local dough and power bait .

Yesterday local angler Ian caught a brown of 3.32kg or 7.3lbs on a gold and black lure (he’s keeping tight lipped over type of lure ) near the pondage gates .

Rumour has it that 50 plus more large trout are being released today with a further 500 smaller rainbows as well, with the weather picking up hopefully the fish will play the game. Reminder that the Goulburn Fishing Festival is not far away ( 7th of september ) so make sure your organised as it will be a great weekend with over 7 tonne of fish being released into the rivers and pondage .

Until next week fish hard
Cheers Craig
