Fishing Report 7th November 2019

Yellow Belly, Cod,Redfin and Trout. That’s what is on offer in the lake, pondage and rivers.
The lake has started to really fire up with yellow belly taking soft plastics, vibes, hard bodied lures, yabbies and scrub worms . The delatite arm through to goughs bay working the snags and banks are the go and don’t be surprised to have multiple fish following you up. Cod to over a metre are still about with plenty between 55cm to 80cm being the most common. Redfin to 45cm are being caught in and around the mariners on worms, yabbies and vibes.

The pondage has just had 1200 30cm to 35cm rainbows released yesterday. This should help bring these bigger fish on the bite even though they really haven’t stopped, Powerbait, Local dough, Wonder kros, Rattle snacks,Pieca and Tassie devils are the go to bait and lures.
The Goulburn river has seen some stonkers still being caught on Pieca, Rapala and Black magic Bmax lures, mudeyes, maggots and scrub worms under a float are also working.

Fly fisher people are taking some browns and rainbows in the river and pondage on royal wolf, nymphs, caddis and woolly buggers

Next weekend the Central Vic Lure Casters have a competition on at Jerusalem creek with a boat package to be raffled off and drawn on Saturday night at Café 501, you don’t have to be in the comp to win the boat, just get there and buy a raffle ticket . It should be a great comp with the yellas really firing up.

Until next week Fish Hard
Cheers Craig
